Thursdays 6-8 pm
Learn realist drawing in a classical style with artist Sarah Castille.
In this class, you will learn how to use centuries-old techniques to draw what you see in a beautiful, realistic style. By working slowly in charcoal from real life subjects and paying careful attention to measurement and accuracy, you will build a set of skills that will allow to represent any subject you wish in a realistic manner.
This class is a great first step for those who wish to build a foundation in drawing before continuing to painting, as we will cover subjects like values, tone, and edge handling that are essential to realistic painting in oils.
Although this style of drawing requires focus and discipline, it can greatly improve your drawing practice. This class is great for all levels of artists, including people who already have a committed drawing practice and dedicated beginners.
Enrollment is on a monthly basis and starts on the first of the month. If you have any questions about our monthly classes, have a look at our FAQs or contact us here.
